Does TL Speedway needs to go?

In my opinion most definitely. The track roughly takes up the space of BTMRR and SM combined. I can go to just about any decent sized city in the US and go to a go cart track and ride it for $7. So much potential for that area.

This has been talked about a lot. Besides nostalgia, I can't think of a good reason for it to exist.

I at least think they need to update it so the cars can be controlled with the steering wheel to a certain degree. I understand the track so kids can drive, but the bouncing gets ridiculous after a while. Definitely see this as the next ride to go. It encompasses too much land that Disney is going to need for further expansion in the near future.

I'm a total car fanatic, so I'm kind of on the fence with this one. It's not "exciting" and it takes up a lot of space. At the same time, it is very nostalgic and to me is a part of Disney. It seems to always have a halfway decent line, so it's still drawing crowds. My boys love it, even though they have driven karts way faster. I'm not one to say Disney should never change, because I believe that without some form of change, any place like Disney is destined to fail. Yet, I wouldn't want to see all of the original nostalgic Disney stuff go away. So if it goes, I'd understand why, but would be sad.

Maybe keep the theme...convert it to Cars and give it a full overhaul. If they did that, I wonder what the original cars on the track now would be worth. I doubt Disney would sell them, but if they did, I'd bet collectors would snatch them up and pay a premium for them.

In conjunction with a "New" Tommorowland overhaul...........I'd love to see a "Cars" themed ride!

It still always seems fairly crowded when I have been by there. And I agree, they could do more with the existing ride theming if they wanted to keep it.

As much as I enjoy it, and as classic as it is, I do think something could be done to update. I like the Cars idea. But then again, I like that there are still rides that exist within MK that aren't tied into a movie. I am on board with updating the cars themselves. I'd never say destroy it, my son who has autism has a thing for this ride. I think he sees it as part of his childhood. :)

I loved it as a kid in the 1970s but I always remember the line being crazy hot.

I was excited to take my 9-year-old on it and he hated it.

I don't think I'd miss it.
