Does this sound right, or is Dh messing with me?

A few weeks ago, Dh received the 20/30/40% off pin. He applied it yesterday to our reservation (I thought he did it when he got it) Anyway, it was a wonderful deal, that saved us over a grand. Anyway, dh said the CM told him that only about 10,000 people received that pin. Dh said, "don't get excited but the CM said people who received this pin have a special reservation number that makes them first in line for automatic upgrades, so don't be suprised if you get a deluxe room". Dh also said, that the CM told him that they picked the people who received this pin because of the time they stayed at WDW last year. Sometimes I think DH is full of crap, and trying to pull a fast one on me because he can't keep a secret. I would love to stay in a deluxe room, but I will be really mad if he spent an extra grand to do so. I wont be really be mad, I just don't want to spend that much money. I just don't beleive a reservation CM would give out so much information. IDK, what do you all think?

What time of year were you there last year? The reason I ask is that my husband also got that PIN and we were there at the end of May of last year. I know he is probably pulling your leg, like you I don't think the CM would just tell that stuff but it is nice to dream

Jumping in again -- we too got that same pin and we were there last year at the end of June. Although we received the PIN through my DH's email address and not the email address that I had booked last year's trip under.

It seems highly unlikely that only 10,000 people received that offer, unless they all frequent the Dis I'm kidding, but it does seem like a lot of people here have received the offer. Another thing, we received four 20-30-40 offers, three with one number and one with a different number. So maybe only 10,000 people received your actual number We were also there in May last year, but Disney doesn't know it since we stayed offsite and bought our tix at that hotel. Our codes all came a day after making dining ressies and saving vacation offers, so I think they were triggered by that. I think your DH is messing with ya, but if he bought you deluxe, I say forgive him!

The same thing happened to us. The PIN email was sent to DH's work email first and then later the same day to our home email (the one we booked the trip under). How Disney got a hold my husband's work email is still a mystery to us. Btw, we too visited the end of June into the 4th of July weekend.

I agree. Don't be mad at him! I bet he booked a deluxe room for you because you got a PIN..he probably thinks he did a good thing!

As far as timing...we were there at the begining of last June...but I KNOW that the PIN we just received has nothing to do with it.. All of our trips have been booked under DH's name using DH's email address. The PIN that we just received came to MY email address. We have never booked a trip using it. I haven't logged into MY account since I have no idea when. Everything for our last trip was done under DH's account (reservations, dining etc..). I have never received anything from Disney Destinations to my email before I started playing with the WDW website after logging in 3 days ago.

We were also there towards the end of May. I go on to the wdw website all the time, and price and save vacations, and he doesn't. He is the one who got the pin. Our reservation was in his name.

That's what it sounds like to me - he wants to treat you! What a sweetie! I'd go and act surprised. Maybe plan a little surprise for him too, like a dinner that he'd like at his favorite place? Or a little souvenir?

I agree, he is messing with you!! Just go with it and enjoy it! Act surprised..but DON't be disappointed if he was not messing with you and you don't get a dx room!!!
