First, I have to say that I love these boards!! I have been off of work for several weeks due to foot surgery and I have been reading the Disboards every day- it's kind of become a habit!! Tonight I started thinking about doing a 4 night trip to WDW in Dec. to see the Christmas decorations. I looked at a package on the American Airlines website. For 2 adults- roundtrip airfare from SGF-MCO, 4 nights at ASMu, and Magic Your Way package - total $714.30 (Dec. 9-13th). That sounds like a good deal to me- what do you think?? I guess we could add on a meal package.

Can you add meal plan if you do not buy from Disney? I called Disney once and they told me that I could not get AAA discounts on a package plan.

Your package does sound good if you get a 4 or 5 day ticket and airfair.

I would grab it if that is the TOTAL price for two people. At rack rates, four nights in value season at ASR would be about $360. Two four-day basic MYW passes would come to almost $400 including tax. I would not wory about the Dining Package with those prices. You should be able to upgrade the passes to hoppers (and change to five-day if necessary) prior to first use for only a small amount.

However, if that is an "per person" price then they are charging about $325 per person for air fare. That may or may not be a good price for that time of year.

The OP is referring to American Airlines (AA), not AAA. ::MickeyMo

I don't even seen how they can offer all of that for $714! As Cheshire Figment said, the price for room and park tix would be about that. It would be like flying for free!

That sounds like an awesome deal if it's for 2 people for airfare, tickets, and room!

I had to check the AA.com site because I was ready to book if the $714 was indeed everything included.

Sorry, but this price is only flight and accommodations. You need to add the tickets on to the package as an add-on. Scroll down after the rental car options and you will find where you need to add your desired park ticket. A 4 day base ticket is and additional $394.

So, it still isn't a terrible deal. All depends on the cheapest airfare you can get our of SGF.

$714-$360 (hotel) = $354 for 2 air tickets. ($177 each)

princessmomma- Thanks for pointing that out. I knew the $714 price had to be too good to be true. Last September we went to WDW for a week and I booked the AA package and it included park-hopper passes for the length of stay. We went to Disneyland in February with an AA package that included tickets. I guess now that Disney has modified the ticket options they are add-ons to the AA packages. Oh well. I think it still might be a good deal for us based on the airfare. We're going on a Disney cruise in September this year and our round-trip airfare from SPringfield MO to MCO is $288 per person.
