Does this seem like TOO MANY planned meals???

Not too many ADRS at all.

In fact, we often have 3 ADRs per day.

We have 3 meals/day. So, it's either a CS meal or TS meal. Depends on what you order, a TS meal isn't necessarily more food than a CS meal. And, you don't have to eat everything!

As for timing: we know about when we'll want to eat, anyway, so we don't have to rush for an ADR. CS meals, for us, take 1-1.25 hours. TS takes about 1.5 hours, on average. So, they don't take much more time, and they are a lot more relaxing and rejuvenating.

Definately look into whether you can add the dining plan. It'll save some money.

As for breakfasts:
Instead of Kona, You can try Ohana at Poly, or 1900 Park faire at GF.

On day 4: you can do Akershus royal banquet hall at Epcot. You can make ADRS for as early as 8:00, so you're ready to go when the park opens.

Also, for Day 6 (the other Epcot day), you can have breakfast a Cape Mae, and then walk to the International Gateway at Epcot.

On Day 5: for dinner you can go to Crystal Palace.

You didn't say how old your kids are, but they may enjoy the character meals. (I think you only have 2 planned). Many of the places I mentioned are character meals. There are others as well.

I would never do more than one TS meal per day. Too expensive, and takes too much time out of your day.

In fact, after 7 or 8 WDW trips, I often make TS reservations only every other day. I like to eat good food, but food is not the be-all-and-end-all of my trips. I'd much rather spend my money (and time) touring, not eating. I think there are enough good CS options to be able to dine fairly well without a lot of time-consuming sit-down meals. I usually eat breakfast in the room (cereal, fruit, breakfast bars), and pretty much wing it a lot of the time for lunch and dinner.

But I may be in the minority here. Lots of people plan many of their meals in advance, and couldn't imagine not eating at least one (perhaps more) TS meal per day. Everyone has a different style -- you need to decide what yours is!

Looks good to me...nothing worse than deciding you want to sit down and have a nice meal and then can't get in anywhere!

I know it's right next door to Kona but we LOVED Ohana's Breakfast...relaxed, great food and fun characters...just in case you want to switch one of your Kona adrs (but I also am a fan of the Tonga Toast! LOL):thumbsup2

Trips always turn out best when we plan and do what we know we like most, right?

DH and I usually travel alone, and we don't like to plan too many things ahead of time. We have had LOTS of luck walking up to some of the most popular dining locations and being seated within minutes, but that would worry lots of folks and group size does matter!

Do what feels right for you, and enjoy every bite!

Personally I think it is too many ressies.. This is just from my personal experience. The last time I was there, all three of my meals were planned and I felt like I was running from ressies to ressie.. This time I decided that I was only going to plan 1 meal a day, that way I could do what I wanted for the rest of the time.. So, the meals that I planned were all sit down and the other meals we will just grab and go..

I agree and even with 1 table service a day it seemed like we were constantly running.....Each meal takes about 2 hours and then 1- 1/2 each way for transportation depending on where you are going and where you are coming from...and then add on they want you there 15 minutes early...1 a day is plenty for our family...too much time spent eating and not playing :)
