Does this mean my flight will be empty?

I am flying Southwest on 10/18. Right now there are still at least 4 seats available at the "wanna get away" price. I'm assuming that means there are still a lot of seats available?:cool1:

Not necessarily "a lot", you really can't tell by that. There could be 4, there could be 40. Not many planes fly empty these days since the number of flights have been cut.
 
Even if your flight shows good availability right up to the date of travel, remember that there could always be a delay or cancellation of another flight and the airline could fill your flight up with travelers from that other flight at the very last minute. Anything can (and does) happen!

That happened either the second or third time I went on US Air; it was the weekend after Thanksgiving.

I fly out of BWI; it was snowing in Charlotte, NC and that is their hub - believe it or not and they diverted planes. We ended up with a family of 9 flying standby on a flight from Cinncinati, Ohio on our non-stop flight to MCO.
