Does this mean anything?

When I called to re-confirm our ressie for Pop Century today (for 4/5) I was on hold for almost a half hour. They had trouble pulling up the ressie in their booking system. Supposedly there won't be any trouble at check-in according to the CM. (I was transferred to Guest Relations). She confirmed my ressie and I asked if she could add a note that it was my son's bday and our anniv. while there. I said, "I know it doesn't necessarily mean anything, but a friend told me to mention it." She took like five minutes to input the note and asked me how to spell my son's name. I'd like to *think* that was worth something... anyone know if there will be anything special b/c of that? It would be nice, though not necessary.

On my birthday, when we returned to the room, there was a card from Pooh and friends with a balloon

We stayed at ASMo and DD got a card with a picture of Cinderella and signed by her as well as some balloons. Very nice.

The little extras for birthdays are not something you can count on. I make a point of not mentioning them to my DS before going. The first year for his birthday he got a card signed from Mickey along with a cake and balloons. Really nice and they set everything all up! My birthday was during this trip also and I received a palm frond basket filled with goodies and a signed card from Snow White. We stayed at Poly in concierage.

The second year my DS received a card from Goofy and one from Chip and Dale. No cake this year and I received a card from Mickey. Not nearly as big a deal and we stayed at Poly concierage again.

If you really want magic to happen, plan it yourself. I make a point of taking streamers, ordering balloons, and making my own signs. Once my DSs have fallen asleep, I decorate the room so they awaken to magic! The whole day is a surprise and we all enjoy it much more!
