Does this make sense?

Word of warning about Jersey Week... it's not really an "off time" anymore. With Food & Wine, and half of NJ there (which has one of the highest # of DVC owners), be sure to use your 11 month window. You will NOT get BWV at 7 months for Jersey week - especially if you need anything more than a studio. But, you probably won't get VWL during that week at 7 months, either (smaller resort).

Good luck with your decision. It's funny, but you REALLY will feel different once you own, and especially after your first visit. You'll feel like part of a semi-exclusive family! :cool1:

We were there this past "Jersey Week" and it certainly wasn't as bad as when we were there in June 11 years ago. We actually went a few days before "Jersey Week" actually started and I think that is probably what we would do. A few days with less crowds then be back in Jersey before we have to go back to work. Worked out great this past Nov.

Thanks, I look forward to "Owning" a piece of the magic.

And to clarify, I wasn't saying VWL isn't nice, I'm just not a rustic style person. Although I've heard it has beautiful decorations at Christmas, which is one reason I have considered it as that being such a high demand time. I'm just not sure if I'd enjoy its decor the rest of the year.

No offense taken. :)

Everyone has their favorites.

I think what "rayelias" was trying to point out was that while "Jersey" week may not be crowded in the parks, that week is a very high demand week for DVC making reservations harder to get for that time frame

What we did this past Nov was traveled on Halloween and stayed Wed to Wed. That seemed to work out well and our future trips would likely follow the same dates, so only 1/2 our trip would be during Jersey week, while the other 1/2 would be the week before or after.

Would it be difficult to book 11 months out for Jersey week?

Would it be difficult to book 11 months out for Disney week?

The entire Food and Wine Festival time frame is a bit dicy at 7 months, especially at BCV and BWV, but if that is your home resort the 11 month reservations should be OK.

Thanks, first thing that sprang to mind was End of Year, lol. :rotfl2:

We love the WL, and with 3 young kids the location close to MK is ideal, however my wife likes the BW and 11 years ago for our honeymoon we stayed there and we both enjoyed Epcot and the proximity of BW. The only additional benefit of BW would be the proximity to the Monorail, though we could catch it from MK also. We are probably about a year away from buying so we have plenty of time to decide.

BW is hard to get from Disney. So I would do resale and get a lower price than the 101. You could get more points for your buck...also could get a good price on WL as well.

If you really want to be close to the MK, why not wait for BLT?
