Anyone tried to downgrade their minute plan before? I called tonight since we are on the $89.99 for 1,400 minutes and have only been using between 400-600 minutes the past two months. Well, I could get 700 minutes for $69.99 however to change plans I'd have to extend my contract for two more months. This makes no sense to me at all. I signed up originally on the $69.99 plan but upgraded a few months back when I knew we would have a high month with the understanding I could downgrade at anytime, now this? 

That's my understanding as well and pretty typical. I just switched to Verizon the end of last year and I know this was standard practice at ATT.
