Does this exist in the DVC site? If not they should implement it.

I usually just book for myself when making the reservation. I add the rest of the party later, after I've secured the reservation. Sometimes, I don't add them until several days after booking. I always do it this way if I am booking something hard to get. It would be nice if you could just check a box for the "usual suspects", though.

Good strategy @CarolMN
Some of my bookings are for longer stays (Aulani) where some dates are waitlisted. Last year I had 5 different reservations that I needed to combine. I foolishly entered the info for each one. Next time I'll have MS combine them before I add the other travelers.

AFAIK, no, they don’t offer this. I wish there were a link to my F&F list in MDE so that I could check off the names, at least, similar to booking an ADR.
Yes this would be so helpful.

Glad to know this will work :) those 20 seconds are valuable time when trying to get a reservation at 8am.

What's interesting is while it doesn't show up online, I just called member services to book a new reservation (I needed to buy one time use points) and the CM had a list of people to select from to attach to the reservation. So I guess they do on the back end?

Yea, this is the best approach I've found. I just worry about me as primary and worry about the others later. Many times I won't even add the other guests until months later, because there are trips it's not 100% certain who will be joining when I book 11 months out. It's been easier to add later than to modify or delete later.

Several years ago, they had a checkbox for all guests have the same last name. That helped a little!
I believe that is still there. But is of limited use when you are dealing with multigenerational families and friends.

Is this correct? I had been under the impression that once I get to the enter name portion of booking a stay that the room was set aside at that point. If not, I've been stupid lucky while booking Grand Californian. I don't rush through the enter names portion and I've not had any problems losing a reservation. If I have trouble, it is always *before* the enter names screen.

I was booking Aulani, and was in the entering name area, I paused to send a message to my husband, he took maybe a min to respond. I proceeded and the site errored out because the room was no longer available.

I too have lost a room by getting the dwarves in the process so I no longer chance it and don’t change names.

I will need to be more careful in the future. Or lucky. Maybe I should just continue to be lucky.

Could result in less phone calls to MS to add people later. Seems like a win/win
Definitely. It is odd that is hasn't been added after all these years. I have to believe that having family members in the system to choose from (like the WDW and DLR sites) would be a win all around like you noted. Oh well...maybe some day...

Seems like a very easy thing for them to implement also.
