IThere was one time I went to my own profile and noticed a certain "odd" poster had checked out my profile and that was kind of creepy.

Now I had to look to see if I could pick the odd poster.

OK, how do you see the lists of lurkers? There were only 2 listed on mine....big brother and one other (it did say there were 85 visits, though). Maybe I'm just not that popular.....go figure, nothing has changed since high school.

I never look at other profiles but sometimes I accidentially hit their name when I go to open a post, so I show as a hit. If you are here a long time I am sure you will have many like me.

WOW I have 70 hits!! I did not think I was that interesting!

I've used the profile to see how old someone is to get a perspective on a post. It doesn't really bother me that those I visit can see, it isn't like I'm ashamed or hiding it.

I have 646 views but only one friend. I guess people visiting don't find me friend worthy.

I click on usernames all the time when I actually mean to click on a post title.

But I do find it interesting to see that people have visited my profile. Accident or not, it makes me feel popular!

I've accidentally viewed people's profiles as well, usually when I go to click the little arrow button to view the most recent post in a thread and have bad aim and click the name of the person who posted it instead.

I've done this if a poster is irritating me just to see if I can see what their problem is.

It doesn't really bother me.. but I don't like it when I see that Board Tracker has visted my page!! Big brother!

I think everyone has Board Tracker in there, don't they?

I can't tell you how many times I have accidentally clicked a user-name when I was attempting to open a thread. Its a really EASY thing to do. So if that leaves my name behind and makes me a stalker/lurker - who cares.

Other times I have intentionally looked because of something that person said in a thread.

I rarely check out a person's profile, but if they say something that makes me question their age I'll go look and see if that info is in their profile.

I sometimes accidentally click a person's name instead of the thread title. THis takes me to their profile. By sometimes, I mean about 5 times a day. I've never actually looked to see who has visited mine, nor do I think I know how to. LOL

I visit the boards on my iPod Touch and on my phone fairly often, and it seems like every time I do I manage to accidentally visit someone's profile. I'm sure lots of people think I'm a total stalker, but it's completely unintentional!

Sometimes I accidentally go to others profiles, like when I am on the couch with the laptop (not using a mouse) and click on something using the touch pad (hate that thing). Once or twice I've clicked on a person's avatar because of a neat pic hoping I could see a bigger version- doesn't work, just makes me look like a stalker.

I have had 141 visits to my page, but only 1 person wanted to be my "friend."

Sometimes I accidentally go to others profiles....I could see a bigger version- doesn't work, just makes me look like a stalker.

I don't know how many times I've accidently went to someone's profile when I thought I was hitting the thread title button, etc...

I know people do use them & occassionally I will look at one on purpose usually just trying to see if I can figure something out (i.e. they said something in a post that makes me think they might be somewhat near me OR they referenced an old post of theirs with no link, etc...) but 9 times out of 10 -- I don't have a clue what I'm doing & aimlessly end up on someone's profile page going "how the world did I end up here!!! This isn't what I wanted".

Edited: I had to go look -- I had 101 visitors -- who knew!!!!!! Of course, does it count yourself when you click on your own profile?
