I thought maybe I'm just too sensitive. I'm glad to see that I'm not.
Also, I hate the bumper "my kid could beat up your honor student" Maybe because both my kids are honor students and I take great pride in that.
Well, (flameproof suit on), it is freedom of speech. I for one find that bumper sticker quite funny, and would display it if I could find one. Yes it is true not all Muslims have been proven to be terrorists, (and yes I know some are not) but the media and our current administration have been bending over backwards to portray the Islam as a peaceful, freedom loving religion. Is it a fluke that all of the recent, and all of the most terrible attacks have been planned, paid for and carried out by Muslims?
How come no major Muslim spokesperson/leader has ever condemed these attacks. In fact a Muslim Iman (forgive spelling) recently justified the murder of Russian children, and again no public outcry.
Sure the Bumper Sticker is 'over the top' for some of you/us, but it also serves as a reminder for some of us/me. I also have two honor students, and I find the my kid can beat up your honor student as hilarious.
I also LOVE the Darwin fish, eating the blank fish. But the BEST I have seen is a Giant JESUS fish eating the Darwin fish.
The vulgarities are a much more difficult question. 'cause obsenity is a local juristictional decision, and cars are so mobile. Who's standard do you use, the home (registered) location of the car, where the car is driving? I don't know.
I use these as teaching examples (S**T happens!, etc.) and point out to my children how silly it makes the driver look, would you like people staring at you when you drive. America is a great country where your opinions and speech don't have to match mine, and even though we disagree, my rights don't stop your rights and vice-a-versa.
During the 70s oil crisis, many people had Burn Jews, not Oil stickers. While I found this extremely offensive and tactless, I never thought of banning them, or even confronting the driver. Live and Let Live.

Thanks for 'listening'
