Does this annoy anyone else?

No it doesn't bug me at all. It isn't something to get worked up about.

No, it doesnt bother me. I'll correct them though.
My mom always refers to Magic Kingdom as Disney World, I use to get bothered, but now I just find it funny. xD

It kind of annoys me. I mean, I know that it isn't something to that should annoy me, but it just does. Although it does make things a little confusing when someone says something like "I can't wait to go to Disney World. I think Matterhorn is such a cool ride." But there isn't Matterhorn in Disney World... that's DisneyLand. So i just hate it because of the confusion that it may cause.

It really annoys me.
I was flipping out this morning because the kids in my class think Steamboat Willie was the first Mickey Mouse cartoon. It's not. And they wouldn't believe me.

People do that to get on my nerves. They know I will correct them so they do it on purpose.

It really annoys me.

um.. is it really not? I thought that it was... or at least the first one that was released. He appeared in two other short cartoons first, didn't he? Plane Crazy and Gallopin' Gaucho?

Its drives me nuts that some pleople are so uneducated about disney it kills me but i guess all us disney addicts are privledged to know the difference

It kind of annoys me.

I remember reading a newspaper article on where to go for the summer holidays and it mentioned WDW. It said you could visit Epcot Center (but it's been Epcot since 1996) and Disney MGM Studios (which is now Disney's Hollywood Studios) and that annoyed me...

Steamboat Willie WAS the first Mickey Mouse cartoon that was released to the public.
It was Mickey Mouses' debut, or "his birthday".

Yes, it annoys me. And when people refer to DLR as Disney World.

I DO! I did it today :lmao:

This guy behind me said Disneyland and clearly it was an attraction in WDW. So i spuna round and corrrected him.

Yes! I get annoyed when someone calls anything by the wrong name actually, especially when it's something easy and obvious. I guess it's mostly because I'm just really weird and know the specifics of things and it bugs me.

it annoys me alot. people at my school will ask me which ones which when we are on the subject.
also, my orchestra was originally going to go to Orlando, (not anymore) ughh
anyway so my instructor referred MK as Disneyworld and then went on talkin about Epcot, AK, and DHS (MGM), and i just had to correct. it really bugs me.......:sad2: :upsidedow

Yeah, it bugs me. lol alot of things do though. This one guy at my school was just walking in the halls at school with his friend and he was saying "So... that new movie about the dog with super powers comes out by disney. What's his name again? Thunder.... Lightning??" i felt like screaming Bolt, but ended up just being really quiet. I wish I at least could have given him a look lol. Also, I was going to WDW for vacation, and my english teacher had this note and she was like (in the middle of class when it was all quiet) "Emma! You're going to Disneyland!?" Of course, everyone turned and stared at me and all I could say was yes. I really wanted to correct her though, but didn't want to end up getting in trouble. I really do feel like people should know more about Disney though, I get annoyed when people just dont know anything at all. And maybe I know a little too much... but still.

Oh, wow! I would have been on your side in a heart beat. I even just read a news article today about that. Steambaot Willie is only considered Mickey's birthday because that is when he really became famous...

That day, November 18, 1928, is widely considered the iconic mouse's official birthday. But months before, Walt Disney had dreamt up the cartoon character and featured it in the short animated film "Plane Crazy."

Yahoo news... gotta love it. Im excited because I get to do a current event project type thing in multimedia- im doing mine over Mickey's birthday! Whoo hoo! Much better than those pirates in the news ad stuff like that o_o Random, but true. Yeah... well Happy bday Mickey!

yea a lot of people think disney World and disney Land are the same thing.
Also, i hate when people refer to EPCOT as, the place with the giant golf ball

Noone even talks about DL or WDW over here.

Just me and emma.
And she talks about disneyland tokyo and disney sea and i talk about disneyland and MGM(or is it DHS now...).
lol
