We spent the night of July 4th at the Dolphin (it was a crazy, last-minute, one-day trip for the the 4th - we drove down on the 3rd, spent that night at the Day's Inn, Epcot for the 4th, the Dolphin for the night, and back home again on the 5th).
We checked in first thing that morning and our room was ready, so we had use of it all day on the 4th. We walked back in the middle of the afternoon to have a swim. Should have taken the boat - we were about to die of heat stroke by the time we finished dragging our pathetic bodies back.
By the boat dock between the hotels, there was a CM with tables set up with popcicles and cold bottled water, which he was giving out for free to everyone who walked by. It was like manna from heaven at that moment, and I'm sure there were other people like us, close to heat exhaustion, who very much appreciated it.
When we came back down to the boat dock a couple of hours later, the tables were gone.
Is this something they do all the time, or just on special (and very hot) occasions?
