Does the VIP tour include a visit of the Dream Suite?

Does Disneyland offer a VIP tour that you can just book say you and your travel partner and be in the group with others?

The VIP tour sounds like you have to book the whole space at $2,400 for up to 10 people for 6 hours, but you have to provide the 9-10 people, as opposed to just joining a group tour.
I hope that makes sense?

From what I've seen, you have to come up with your own group.

No, you cannot join an existing group. You must provide your own. Which...bummer. I would TOTALLY join an existing group, but have no hope of providing my own. There's probably no way to combine tours on the DisBoards, but it would be great if there were.

I think im thinking of Universal Orlando. they offer private VIP tours and group VIP tours.

I think it would be pretty easy to pull together a group of DISboard members, like people do for WDW with the fireworks cruises. but its A LOT of $$$ and I'd be reluctant to be the one booking it without first having the money, but then on the other hand, I could see why others wouldn't want to hand over the money to a stranger on the boards.
John and Kevin talk about a similar issue on a couple of the Dreams Unlimited podcasts in relation to booking group space on a Disney cruise.

Yes I agree, it's risky. The person organizing it would have to be comfortable forking out the money if others cancel, or at the least come up with a waiting list if someone doesn't pay, etc.

Would be great to try, though.

I'd be in for something like that one day.

I would be reluctant to join a group VIP tour because you could end up subsidizing someone else's touring plan and having time run out before you got equal time or benefit.

Oh totally. I can see how it would be tough.

I've also thought about all of that. I think my hesitation would be that I'd be spending so much time with people that I don't know and let's face it, the chances that I'd like to spend that much time with someone I've never met are extremely low. There are a few rides that I don't go on, so if a lot of the time was used for those rides, I'd feel pretty jipped. Also, I would imagine the group would want to go eat a corndog, something I'd never do.

One of the worst vacations I ever had was taken with another couple with whom we were good friends BEFORE the vacation. Then we went on vacation with them and omg, it was the trip from hades. The wife spent the whole time spouting Bible verses while the husband spent the whole time drunk, making racist comments to complete strangers and not-so-subtle remarks about how he'd been a bad boy to his wife! They were not like this in regular life. Some people really change on vacation.

I'd be reluctant to spend that much time and $$ on something that could go so wrong ... I'd be afraid of getting stuck with someone who decided the world revolved around them because they spent the $$ on the VIP. But I guess if it was the only way it was ever going to happen, it might be worth the risk?
