Does the "sting" from ITTBAB hurt?

The "stinger" is about as sharp as your index finger and it pokes you moderately. If you know it's coming, it's not as bad.

It doesn't hurt, but if you want to avoid it lean forward in your seat when the bees come out.

Don't worry, it doesn't hurt. It is just very unexpected, which is what makes it so very uncomfortable the first time you experience it.

Our group of kids, 9, 8, 6, 6, 5, did not like this attraction because of that unexpected "sting". If I could do it over again, I would tell them all to sit forward in their seats. The 3 year old, who was sitting in my lap, liked it just fine (although I did hide her from some of the effects).

IT REALY DOESN'T HURT BUT I DIDN'T EXPECT IT SO WE WERE ALL JUMPED PRETTY GOOD WHEN WE DID GET STUNG---------- IT IS REALY ALOT OF FUN:smooth:

I know this a silly question, but my dd has a very low tolerance for pain. I know she'll be mad at me if I convince her to try it and then it hurts when they poke you from the seat. I'm sure it's not too bad or nobody would go back, but how bad is it? Is there a way to avoid it?

Thanks in advance!

The sting is like a poke in the back. It's the surprise factor that makes you jump, not pain from a poke.

Not trying to spoil anything, but there is another effect afterwards when bugs are leaving that did get one of my neices screaming because she doesn't like things on her. It's another seat effect, it doesn't hurt, but it can feel creepy.

Again I'm not trying to spoil the ride, but just want to give you a little warning.

ITTBAB is one of our Must See events each time we go.

advice:
1. have them sit on your lap
2. have then sit on the crack (the divider between two seats) if you sit there you wont feel it.

the'd never know :)

It hurt me a little bit, but it was more of a surprise than anything else. My DD didn't feel it at all because she wasn't sitting all the way back on the seat. She would have been complaining if it did touch her, so I'm glad she didn't feel it!:D

Didn't even notice it this time. My youngest sat on our backpack (rather leaned against it) and she didn't feel it either.

The show is great and you will have lots of fun. Bring a towel if your little one doesn't like to get wet at all...

"Bug" is about the most unpleasant attraction I have ever experienced ... not really painful, not really scary, just unpleasant all around. My family (DH and kids 12, 10 and 7) agrees.

I don't like the sting at all and always sit forward when I know it's coming - I think the anticipation of it is worse than the actal action though.....
My kids saw the movie at 1 and 3 and then again at 2, 4 and 6 and they loved it. It was about the only thing the boys talked about after their first trip and little sister wasn't about to let them out-do her when she went for the first time :)

My dkids (10, 8, 5) really didn't like this attraction. They liked the bugs at the end but didn't care if they ever went again. I jumped at the sting but noone else in my family felt it, they must have been leaning forward.

Our first trip down and my dd was just-turned 6. We were sitting waiting for Legend of the Lion King in AK to start. She overheard these two ladies discussing the 'sting' at TTBAB. Well. No way, no how was she going to do that attraction after she heard about a 'sting'. Sooo, our last trip, she was 8. She decided she would tough it out. After she said.."That was it? That little poke?" Said she was never listening to strangers again!!!! I think if you're apprehensive about it, just have your child sit forward a little or put something between the child and the seat back.
