Does the monarail run from

Disney World to Universal and Island of Adventures??? Are the parks connected in any way? How far are they from each other? Thanks. Trying to plan ahead of time.

Hey, Cati. The monorail only runs between Polynisian Resort, Grand Floridian Resort, Contemporary Resort, Magic Kindom, and the Ticket and transportation Center which are all Disney.

Universal and Islands of Adventures are speerate parks not owend by Disney. I think it takes 30 minutes or so to get from Disney to Universal.

You really should get yourself a good guidebook with a map showing the locations and details of all the parks. While there is great transportation to get you EVERYWHERE on Disney property, there is nothing to connect the Disney parks with the Universal parks.

When are your going to WDW? Do you plan on staying on park property?

JamsMom -- Don't forget there is also a monorail from the T&T over to Epcot.

Cati -- Universal is not owned by Disney. They do not make it easy to get to the competition.
