Does the Kids Spaces Close During the Day?

Hi, hopefully a quick question someone can answer. I was looking at something online (maybe DCL's website) and saw something where the Kids spaces closed for an hour in the middle of the day, like from 3-4. Is this true? Or did I just completely misread? Trying to plan for adult only events and want to make sure I've got someone to watch my 6 year old.

Oh, we will be on the Fantasy..

To the best of my knowledge, no, they don't close during the daytime. Possibly you were looking at the embarkation day Navigator? Everything closes for muster drill (and that's roughly the time period you indicated).

One side or the other (Club or Lab) will can be in secured programming while the other is in Open House, but the spaces are still both open.

On other cruise lines, the kids clubs seem to open and close every couple hours, which I hate.

If secured programming at the club or lab closes, due to open house or toddler time, they will bring the children to the other side, and when you go to pick up your child, their whereabouts will come up on the computer and the cm will direct you from there.

Yes, that happened a lot on our WBPC cruise. They were also closed most of the morning the day we transited the canal.

Royal does that.

I love it.

I'd never see my son without them closing every so often.

Not random at all, at least not on Royal. Just gotta read the info they give you!
