Hi
I was wondering if the Jungle Cruise ran at night? I seem to remember somebody posting about it being a better experience at night but I don't think I ever remember seeing open at night.

Thanks in Advance

We just rode it friday night shortly before 8 and it was getting dark. It did make it a little more interesting. I would normally skip this ride, but DS6 loves it and we did it 2x this trip.

Hi
1- I was wondering if the Jungle Cruise ran at night?

2- I seem to remember somebody posting about it being a better experience at night but

3- I don't think I ever remember seeing open at night.

1- If the park's regular hours run until after dark. (It's not generally an EMH attraction.
2- Very much, I think. Lot's of fun when the Skipper uses the spotlight to highlight the scenes.
3- We've ridden it many times at night.

It is a completely different experience at night.

I much prefer it in the evening.

Rode it for the first time at night (well mostly dark) on our recent trip. It certainly was a different atmosphere that during the day. Someone mentioned the skipper's spotlight already. Personally, I like the daytime ride.

We rode it literally at 2:01am on a 11pm park close EMH evening. The skipper (a poor college student) did lots of off-script jokes, and there were even more surprises that they could never do on anything BUT the last ride of the night. The skipper and the "crew" made that ride the best EVER for us, but generally, we prefer to ride it in the daytime, because it's easier to see everything.

But no, it doesn't close when it gets dark.

Day or Night, the thing that affects the biggest difference between "fun" and "not so much" is the skill and presentation of the Skipper!

A good Skipper can make just sitting at the dock an entertaining and fun experience!!

+1

As Robo says, no matter when you ride it, the skipper makes all the difference. I prefer riding it at night because we have always been blessed with first-rate skippers. Things just seem a little "looser" at night on JC.

Last time I was on this was at night at a EMH...

Out boat got the skipper to crack up at her own jokes... Was perhaps the best time I've had but it was cause of the skipper not the dark (though I do want to go on at night on our next trip)

I would seem to be more spooky that way. I haven't ridden it the last couple of times and not at night since the early 90's. Going to have to make the effort.

Plus, the queue is so much cooler (temperature wise) in the evening. The queue during the day is SO hot!

you know

After 20+ trips you would have thought I would have ridden it at night but I can't remember riding it at night to save my life.

Of course I could have in the late 70's or 80's and some of those trips I would have told you I never went on except for the pictures. I know that I went a few times back then and the characters talked back to me. ( Yup I am sure I heard them talking to me Really or at least it seemed that way) :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

Ahh sometimes I miss the 70's :hippie:

Thanks for all your replies

Dave

DS and I rode at night for the first (and thus far only) time in August '08 during an EMH ... I think it was around 1am. I loved it at night but it did definitely have a spookier quality. No crazy long waits like during the day though!
