does the food and wine festival really impact attendance much?

just curious...going 2nd week of november and was shocked couldnt get room at grand floridian.will we be surprised at size of nov. crowds this year?

Hi. We just got back last night and went to Epcot on Wednesday. It was near empty. Although there were lots of booths for the Food & Wine Festival, there weren't many people there. Perhaps Veteran's Day Nov. 11 is having a greater impact as far as hotels being booked. Also, I think NJ has part of that week off with a lot of residents heading to Disney then as well.

We just got back last night from our stay Oct 2-9. It was busier than I have ever witnessed the 2 night we were there which was Monday and Thursday, but not outrageous. Monday was actually the busier of the 2 nights. We have only been in early October, late March, and early May so I can not compare it too busier times, but I thought it was more crowded than I have ever seen it. Hope this helps.

Well, I think that between NJ Week and President's week, those first two weeks in November are getting more and more popular. Also factor in that many people who had their vacations canceled due to hurricanes have rescheduled for this fall.

People have been reporting that the MK has been packed. I was over at F&W last weekend and it was pretty crowded despite the heat. As the temps here come down the locals will come out on the weekends to F&W.

Despite it being more crowded than usual this fall, it can't be any worse than the summers. With fast pass you should be fine.

BEfore the codes expired there seemed to be lots of availability at "lesser" resorts.

That's SUper Soap weekend, GF could be booked by people thinking all the stars will be staying there (and who know, maybe they are?)
