Does the fantasmic dinner pkg sell out?

We are going in Sept. and have an ADR for Mama Melrose for dinner. I called recently to see if I could add on the fantasmic pkg to our dining ADR and was told that it was sold out.

Just wondering if it indeed sells out even if you already have an ADR for one of the fantasmic restaurants?

No, you have to reserve the package. There are only a certain number of them so when they are full, they are full.

Yes, it does sell out.

it sells out very quickly, but to get it you also have to eat fairly early so its not always the best option. during slower times like sept you can still get in to see it, and if you wait till the second showing it probably wont be crowded at all.

Yes, it does sell out. We saw Fantasmic twice last year--once with the dining plan for the first show and then again later in our trip without the package and we went to the second show at 10:30. We arrived 40 minutes before the start of the show and waited in line while they cleaned up from the previous show and once we got in and sat down the place was packed...standing room only.

It's only shown twice a night during the busier times of year.

I looked and September 1 is the only date in September when they have two showings (and yes, it is an extra magic hours).

Also, on Monday, September 22. According to the WDW site, there will still be two Fantasmics (8:00 and 9:30). This is also an EMH night.

In my experience it seems to me that people don't cancel this package once they have it because even if they decide not to go to the show at Mama Melroses they give you an appy even if you are on the basic ddp. In addition to that i think when people have to give a credit card they are more likely to stick to a plan.

Yes, it does sell out an yes, it does sell out quickly. I called on the very first day my 180 day reservations opened up for our December trip and wanted the Fantasmic Package and I was told they were already sold out.

I guess I picked the wrong 2 weeks to be at WDW then. I miss both the extra showings of Fantasmic. Interesting that they think the beginning of September and the end of September will be busier.

I believe there were two shows the last two Labor Days of Fantasmic and it's probably because it is the holiday and there are a lot of people there for the long weekend.

Oh, I understand the first one being the long weekend. The last one is kind of confusing to me, it's after the free dining. I know some people will still be there with the free dining, but I would think the majority of the free dinners would be heading home.

I don't understand it either but I am grateful for it since we'll be there (with free dining) that week. The only thing I can think of that is happening that week is the beginning of Food & Wine at Epcot but that doesn't start til Friday. It is a mystery!

I think the last week in Sept. starts the food & wine festival, plus any guests that went last year could book a bounceback with free dining.

It's already sold out for some if not all dates in December! I couldn't get anything during my week.
