Does the coffee come with the coffeemaker?

Leaving in a few days, packing like crazy...somebody told me that at BC you can ask mousekeeping for a coffeemaker but that if you are in a standard room, the coffeemaker does not come with the coffee, sugar, etc. Anybody have experience to share on this?

We just returned from YC and AKL. At both resorts we requested a coffeemaker from mousekeeping. That wasn't a problem. However, only the first night comes with free coffee/sugar/etc. and cups. After that, they said we'd have to buy our own at the gift shop. Luckily, I had packed Maxwell House (I think) packets made for the coffee makers. These were also available at the resort gift shop. This was our experience; experiences will probably vary(as they usually do). I hope this helps you know what to pack. Have a good time.

Additional information: This is a change from when we were there on past visits. Coffee used to be free. This seems to be a change from our previous visits.

Disnee Dad Says................................... Pack a few extra coffee packs, of the coffee you like. Free is sometimes good, but not always. Bring at least a couple you know you like, so you get your fix!

Thanks! Now I can prepare. When we were at WL, mousekeeping refreshed the coffee supplies every day. My kids think it's funny I don't ask about the weather but about the coffee! Thanks again!

musicmom3, I'm glad you asked that. I'm going in September and needed to know whether or not to pack my own coffee and coffee "accessories."

Shoppers beware! Off I went to buy my 4-cup filter packs of Maxwell House and what did I find instead? Boxes of these things that look like tea bags, made for single cups of cofee. I bought them because they're the only game in town where I live. I guess I'll just toss a mess of them in the brew basket and see what happens. Hope it's not too yucky. Anybody use these things before?

Maxwell House sells the pre-packaged filtered type for brewing as well. I think one package is for 4 cups. I think the ones you bought are not for brewing. They are kind of like instant.
