Does the clothing they sell at DW come in plus sizes (women)? I really want a Cinderella sweatshirt of some sort (or the castle).

Am I getting my hopes up only to have them dashed when I shop??

No. I just returned this past Sunday 9/09, and the clothes there are not divided by misses, juniors, petite's or women's (plus) sizes. You will find only the standard S, M, L, XL, and some XXL.

I was lucky enough to find one 3XL shirt in Animal Kingdom last January. It was the only style that I saw come in that size. I looked everywhere and did not have any luck.

At one of the outlets by Disney, i found a WDW hoodie with pirate lettering in a 2X. That was actually all the had in it. (And even though it's 2 sizes too big for me, I had to buy it anyway because I really wanted it!) They had a lot of bigger sizes, now that I think about it. At least when we were there. If you have a car, that could be an option.

I have found that the size on the tags DOES NOT MATTER. I have a couple of Disney Tees that are XL that fit well and then I have a couple that I bought 2X, to purposely have a little more comfort room... and yup, they are smaller than the XL! I have bought 3X in certain designs, too, after trying them on for fit. My DH, who is such a sweetheart (most times) tells me to just cut the tag out and not worry about the size but for me to buy what makes me comfortable. Downtown Disney has been the best place for me to find my sizes in a variety of design. Also, I bought a 4X and a 5X men's shirts for friends in DTD, too. The ONLY place that I could find them was DTD. Try them on, whatever you do. I picked up some precious things last October (w/out trying on) and I just gave them, tags and all, to Good Will. Somehow I thought that they would grow or I would shrink... LOL, yeah, right. It was time to let some unsuspecting Disney enthusiast, shopping second hand to save for their next Disney trip, to find a great bargain and make their day! I know it would make mine! While I would say that plus sizes are not over-abundant, I think if you look closely, you will be able to find plus sized shirts at many locations. Also, keep in mind that when shopping at many locations, you can ask if they have more of a size you need in the back. I do believe that they tend to only put out one or two of the larger sizes at a time. Many, many times, we have asked if they have a particular size in the stock room (b/c they were out of it on the display rack). More often than not, they did have the size we requested in the back.
I would say that your hopes will not be dashed. But as Other poster said, try it on as there are many different cuts to their Tshirts. Also, if there isn't a way to try it on in the store before purchasing, you can try it on at your hotel. Hotel gift shops will take returns of anything purchased on property, just keep the receipt.

I saw many things that would work. I got a zip up hoodie in a 2XL and it is extremely roomie. XL ro XXL might work..give it a try!

I had no problem finding 3X sweatshirts in Oct. last year. Came home with Tink, Cinderella and Fairy God mother, Mickey, and Lilo and Stich. I got 2 of them @ Pop, one @ MK and one @ MGM

Yes they do. I have a few shirts in 06 when I had a very large chest
now they are gone. But I did this year get 2x pink mickey sweats pants at DTD
Be careful cause they run huge.

on the far side of the emporium at the end near town hall I have seen t-shirts and sweatshirts in 4X & 5X but they are usually on the very bottom racks hidden well and I have found 3X in alot of shops and in the gift shops out our resorts...They are very good quality too I am still wearing them. They tend to hide shirts behind all the barbie sized shirts..lol Hey I use't to be a size 6 and there is nothing wrong with being skinny as well as plus sized I just wish they that all stores would stop hiding the plus sizes...Look around there are just as many if not more plus sized gals and guys out there now...... In MK. In tomorrow land. It is navy blue and has the castle embroidered on the back with other stuff. It was $65. I also got my boys each one and they were $38. I did find a pirates 2x football style shirt at the end of the ride but couldnt pay $65 for it. There was a few things at the outlet that would have fit me. a windbreaker but not sure that I would have worn it, so I didnt get it. have fun, you can always call back later and have them send it.

I was able to buy a t-shirt of the castle on our trip in April in one of the stores in magic kingdom, I can't remember which one, it was 3x I love it, 39.99

World of Disney at DTD has 3x and 4x. Most other gift shops have XL and 2XL. I wear 2XL and have never had a problem getting a shirt I want.

I have seen large woman's sizes at the Emporium (I think that's the name of the place) at MK.

Unfortunately, I don't think you are going to find a Cinderella sweatshirt. The merchandise tends to run along certain themes Disney thinks are popular at the time. Right now, everything is either YOMD, Pirates and High School Musical. You will see a few generic WDW things. I haven't seen any adult Cinderella things for awhile now and I look at the merchandise on a regular basis.

I had luck finding plus sizes at World of Disney like a previous poster mentioned. Also, the sales lady was so nice about helping find the different styles of tshirts in the plus sizes. She also made me feel soooo good when she told me that she didnt think I needed a 3 or 4 X.....which I did end up getting for the extra roominess I like in tshirts.....
