Does the AKL have DVD players???

I think I was reading a thread somewhere that someones DD was watching a DVD at AKL and I think I read something else about it. Do the rooms at AKL have DVD players?

I don't believe they have them in the rooms...maybe in the deluxe or conceirge...Unless I missed it last time!

I'll bet you were reading Cassie's report...she mentions her DD watching movies on their portable DVD player.

Thanks Liz! I think it was Cassie's report, but she didn't say portable in the one I read, she just said watching a DVD so that is where I got the question! Thanks!

No DVD players in AKL rooms, concierge or otherwise. You might be able to rent one but it won't be cheap.

I rented a VHS video recorder/player while staying in AKL concierge and it was a joke. There was no remote and it couldn't be set to record. You had to push the record button. I wanted it for recording and playback. I didn't even keep it the whole stay as I thought it was a rip-off at $10 or $11 a day.

Robin ~ I see what you mean! Good for you for looking into it and not assuming you were going to have one!! I have gotten lots of good tips from Cassie's reports...I'm going to take our portable DVD player with usin October and I'm going to have the Lion King DVD waiting in the room for her - along with a chocolate "display" and a Safari Mickey. Lion King is being released on DVD for the first time a day or two before we arrive and so - since it's one of our big-time favorites, I thought it would be something fun to have waiting...

Hi again Liz! We will be there December 5-9th and before that we will be at the WL from the 2nd-5th. 7 nights of Disney Holiday magic! We can't wait! What a wonderful idea of having goodies waiting for your DD - I wish we had a portable DVD player! How do you arrange to have stuff waiting for you in the room? My Katie would love something like that at the WL our first night!
