Does the 5 for 3 PH have an expiration date? Can we get credit for amount spent?

I asked on another thread, but figured I'd create my own thread so as not to hijack the other one. We have APs. I'm thinking about doing the 5 for 3 and saving the PH for when my AP expires in Jan 2010. Is that possible? Would we be allowed to use it or is there a use by date on the tickets? Would Disney credit me at least forthe amount spent on the PHs?
Thanks for any info!

People have stated that they've been able to get that deal even having APs...they just take the price of the tickets off of the deal.

Now to me that makes no sense from a "this is a package" perspective, but that's what people were reporting the first week the deal came out!

I was quoted the package price without the tickets. You do have to specifically ask for it, the CM put me on hold and then came back and said she could quote me. It was still more than I wanted to pay but along with the hotel you get all the perks, lanyards and pins, preferred seating in DCA and whatever else comes with the package. I can't remember now. lol

My mom and I booked a package back in February when they were not offering the 5 for 3 PH. A few months later I was back on the DL site and noticed the 5 for 3 was being offered. We were pretty upset because we paid more money booking early and now they're offering a cheaper price. So we called VP and asked if they could adjust our price applying the 5 for 3 and without a problem they changed it. So in the end we ended up owing nothing since they gave us credit for what we had already paid, which was a big plus. We had only purchased a 4 day PH, but now we actually get 5 for the price of 3, which is always great!

It also applied for our hotel reservation since we are going to be staying for 7 nights/ 8 days, so we got 2 free nights! I'm so glad I went back to the site and saw that. Right off the bat I assumed they wouldn't be able to adjust the price but they did with no problem. Just shows that it never hurts to ask!

Bumbershoot and Pixiewings, that's for the quick response! Molly, I saw that and thought the same thing! I thought it didn't make any sense from a package perspective. :confused3 Pixiewings, were they offering it just for the main 3 DLR hotels or were they offering this for the offsite hotels too? PP is already more than I want to spend. I lost out on the Expedia deal when it would've been $120/night. I had yet to book my flight at that point and spent too much time looking around and price comparing; next thing you know everything jumped up in price.:rolleyes1 What a difference a week or even a day makes. (What is that saying about being a day late and a dollar short? LOL! That's me!) Anyway, that's the way the ball rolls sometimes!

They only quoted me the 3 DLR hotels. I didn't ask about the Good Neighbor hotels tho.

Some of the Good Neighbor hotels are participating, and some have the 4th night free. Others are not. :)

As far at the PH goes: My understanding is you have to purchase the 5-for-3 deal by August 11 and the first day of use needs to be by Sept. 30. I don't know how you'd be able to "save it" until January. Being a AP holder they may give you the hotel deal, minus the tickets.

Thanks; I've decided not to get the package deal and just use our AP.:goodvibes
