I have read a lot of analysis on this board about amounts saved (or not saved) on the DDP. I have seen posts that say something like, "I would have spent X dollars OOP, and when you add the tax, that means I would have paid Y OOP. That means that I saved Z off the 37.99 I paid on the plan."
Don't you pay tax on the $37.99 cost for the DDP, and if so, don't you have to take that into account whenever you calculate whether you are saving money?
