Does that mean we can't ride the monorail now?

Now that we have decided to stay offsite I realized we no longer will be using the Disney transportation. I was however, looking forward to going on the monorail with the kids. I still remember my excitement as a child riding through the hotel. So now we no longer get the free Disney transportation that is part of your stay on property. Does that mean we won't be able to use the monorail at all? Can we still use it to move to Epcot from Magic Kingdom or any of the other parks if we have park hopper passes? I'm not sure what parks are connected to the monorail?
Is their a charge? I was really looking forward to taking the boat ride as well that went from the Fort Wilderness to the MK.

You'll still be able to get to ride the monorail. Its one of only two ways to get to MK for off-siters. When you park at TTC you need to either take the monorail or the ferry over to MK. You can also park hop on the monorail to Epcot no problem.

Have fun!

Your park hopper passes entitle you to use the Disney transportation including the monorail. You can use the monorail to get to EPCOT and Magic Kingdom.

I'm excited! Now can my family and I use the boat that goes from the FW to the MK too. We wanted to go over there to check out the place for maybe future stays. And thought it would be nice to ride on over to the MK.-

You can ride the monorail from the TTC or MK to the resorts on the monorail inner loop too.

one night take the monrail from the MK (okay really T/T center) to Epcot - it goes inside the park and at night when all the lights are on it is great:hyper:

Yes, you may take the boat from MK to FW for a visit. Some guests will do this to have a meal or ride a horse/pony or attend the HDDR dinner show. It's funny that you were wondering about using the monorail if you stayed offsite. The only time we've missed riding the monorail was during one stay ONsite at an Epcot resort hotel. Somehow, we used our car and the buses and boats, but didn't need the monorail. When staying offsite, we always take the monorail from TTC to MK. :)

We always stop by Disney when in Orlando, even if not going to any of the parks. We have gone down for business and taken the kids to ride the monorail for fun. We stop and play at the arcade in the Contemporary, walk along the beach at the Polynesian, watched the Electrical Water Pagent. No one ever asks to see a room key or park hopper. All you have to do is pay to park or go to a hotel and tell the parking attendant you are having dinner. Our boys were 2 and 4 and this was great, cheap entertainment.
