I heard a rumor that "Tarzan Rocks" is leaving Animal Kingdom for good! Is this true? Someone said it's going to another Disney park??? Any info?

As far as I know, it will be playing until January of 06. After that I don't know if it's closing, or going to another park.

As far as I have read, it's closing completely, not moving somewhere else.

It is closing completely at AK and probably moving to Hong Kong Disneyland. See it before January '06 (or don't...I say good riddance to Tarzan Rocks)

I think Tarzan Rocks is a fun show, so I'll be sure to catch it one more time when I'm at WDW next month. :)

A new Rumor from Mouseplanet.com, says that the Tarzan show may extend it's shows from closing in January of 06 to closing in March of 06.

I actually went to the show last week. As we entered, I did ask the employees about the show closing.

I specifically asked them what is replacing it. Now, consider the source, but they stated that they heard that a Finding Nemo show will replace it.

we love this show!! SOOOO sad its closing!

Whats not to love about it?
HELLO CINDY B!

I never saw the Tarzan show. It never really sounded interesting to us... A Finding Nemo show would be awesome though!
:goodvibes

I really love the Tarzan Rocks show. I like to look at Tarzan, such nice eye candy, and enjoy the songs, monkey skaters and acrobatics. I am glad I'll get to see it again in December.

but I enjoy Tarzan Rocks! I also agree about the eye candy, that seriously helps! :rotfl:

It's closing???? Bummer, my kids love Tarzan and the music from the movie, guess we'll have to catch the show one last time in October. :teeth:

I'd just like to add one more to the list of families who enjoy Tarzan Rocks and will be sad to see it go. The movie was one of DD's early favorites and we still love the soundtrack. With the live band, baboons on roller blades, and acrobatic actors, we've always found Tarzan Rocks to be entertaining.....but we also miss the Hunchback show at Disney Studios.

:earsboy:

I hate to see it go. I love the soundtrack of this movie. And that's why I enjoy the show... I even like singing with them.

I cannot listen to "You'll Be In My Heart" without picturing myself sitting on those benches, breathing in that Florida air and watching the faces of so many family members we brought there as they enjoyed the show. :flower:

for what it's worth, we really enjoyed the tarzan show last trip, and hope to see it again this year. My DS's loved all the rollerblading and swinging around, looked like fun!

SOOOOOOOO sad to hear it is closing! I love it. I REALLY miss the Hunchback show at at MGM! They close all the best live shows, like what happened to all the great shows they used to do at the stage in TL at MK? That stage is always empty now! I miss the live shows!

Didn't see it in May, but will make sure to see it in Oct. I LOVE when Phil Collins sings anything Disney, does such a great job! Tarzan is definitely not the best Disney movie, but it is good IMHO. The show looks very entertaining, will catch it before it goes. I have heard a lot of negative comments about it, will see for myself. Thanks for the posts!! :wave2:
