Does Target GC savings work IN STORE as it does online?

So i understand how I can buy Target GCs at a discount, then use that to buy Disney GCs online with my red card for a further 5%.

But does the same apply in store? Does it recognize that I'm a red card member and still allow me to get 5%?

If not, could I just apply $300 in gift card, buy $350 (remaining 50 on the red card) to get 5% off the purchase?

No, it doesn't work that way. You only get 5% off of what goes on your red card. In your example, only $50 would have the 5% savings.

Ah, figures. So only the online recognition works. Figures always trying to save extra!
