Does SW release add'l nonstop flights?

Unlikely to add flights. However, flights that are shown as sold out may not be. They may block them and show as sold out to push people to other flights.
For my area I often see them do this on flights with a connection to push people to fill up the non stop first.

How do you know they're doing this?

We also fly out of Louisville and I knew I had seen them add flights before. We flew fall break in 2015 and I know for a fact they added a non stop flight on our departure date because I switched our flight to the earlier one. Glad I’m not crazy.

It's been a few years, but SW did add a daily non stop from Louisville to Orlando and back after the original schedule was released for fall break. We switched flights and saved quite a bit. I have not seen additions lately though, once the flights are posted that seems to be it.

And thanks for the warning that flights are filling up. I just checked late April and noticed that non stops have sold out or have limited availability. I guess we need to figure out when we want to fly and get the reservations made.

Thanks to this thread's warning, I have booked our Southwest flight in late April. A few days earlier in the month then we wanted but I found a non stop at a reasonable price.
