Does SW charge to change tickets?

We bought tickets with the "Wanna Get Away" deal on SW for August. If we end up changing our departure date to come home earlier by a day or two, how does SW handle that? I know there is a fee on other airlines, but this is the first time we are flying SW. Thanks for your help!

I think one of the benefits of SW is they don't charge. With the Get A Way tickets you just pay the fare difference if there is one.

No fee. If the fare for the different day is lower than what you paid, you will get Ticketless Travel Funds for the amount of the difference. The TTF are good for one year from the date of purchase and are completely transferrable.

Wow! I'm glad I booked SW this time! I was afraid it would be like Jet Blue which, I believe, would have charged $50-$100 per ticket to change. Thanks for getting back to me!

I JUST called and asked this of SW today! No charging for changing tickets, or canceling a trip....the funds can be used for another trip within a year! Wow, I was in shock. I love SW!!!!!

Just make sure you do the changes on the Website. It is very easy to change your flights online. Don't call the SW people to do this. My Aunt tried to extend her trip by one day and called SW to get it done and the cost to change the trip was 110.00. This was the change in fare, not that SW was issuing any charges for changing the flight.

She called me and asked if I thought it would be cheaper through the website. Gave me her ressie number and we changed it online for $1. The fare had gone up a buck since she booked.

So just a warning to do everything online. Very easy and quick. It is in the "travel tools" section. "change air reservation".
