Does "Still interested Email" mean anything?

My daughter received an email today asking if she was still interested in the College Program. Her interview was Oct 22 and has been on pending status since the 23rd. Does anyone have experience similiar to this and is it good? Hoping someone has an answer....

I think it's to sort of weed out the pending people that aren't interested anymore, so they can finalize their decisions. I do know that on the official cp blog they had a post about pending and that it wasn't a bad thing

Also I noticed in your name that it mentions Utah and if you are from Utah, hiiiiii!!!!! I'm a utahn born and raised!

DS got one of those and when he called there was something in the system that did not finalize and had he not called he would have been in perpetual pending....tell her to call right away.

Anyways, I loved my cp! I did merchandise in fantasyland, them extended my program into main street operations doing turnstiles and parade audience control. I've worked in two other retail locations outside of disney(one of them currently) and Disney is still my favorite! Main street ended up being really fun! It was kind of neat to learn how the different tickets worked, and how to work the turnstiles, which are really sensitive. PAC was the best though! I got to play games with the guests before parades! The audience controlling part was hard to get used to, because guests don't like getting told "no" but it got easier. PAC also brought a lot of great guest experiences, where I got to get to know some of the families by my position for the night.

I really hope your daughter gets in!!! If not, have her try again! I think that this year, with the new website and system, they are ironing out some bugs, so things should get smoother in the next few semesters!

She did but because of Thanksgiving they have been closed. She did send an email to the email address on phone message explaining her concern. Hope it is enough though because by Monday 6 days will have passed and the email says 3 days and they remove you for lack of intrest. Was your son accepted?

Yes, he reports Jan 18 and will be there as a vacation planner (???) until Aug 3.

I guess there is no confirmation email - I didn't get one either. Have her log into her dashboard and see if her status still says "In-Progress" if so, she should be fine. I was a little freaked out because 1. I didn't get a confirmation email 2. I responded to the email on my phone and got concerned that I may have clicked the wrong response and 3. I couldn't log into my dashboard and it wouldn't send me my reset password link either.
I just called today and someone helped me reset my password (don't you hate when something's not working, but as soon as you call tech support it works fine for them?).

I don't think the "still interested" email is an actual problem. They're just weeding out people

Maybe, but I do know DS was told it was good that he called. I think if I were serious about this I would respond to an are you still interested email and I would follow up with a phone call. I've just learned to check and recheck over the years.

Can you please pm me the number you called too? When I called to check on my dashboard issue it seemed like the lady thought I was overreacting. She was really nice, but kept telling me to "just wait".

My friend in my French class received this email, filled it out, then they told her she would receive a final decision by the 19th of December. She isn't too worried since the CP takes nearly all of the kids from our school but still. Better safe than sorry!

Exactly. The person on the phone when I called had nothing to do with recruiting. You pretty much just have to wait.

Yes, facinating. Since my son is not waiting, and waiting. After the call he got his acceptance and position offer right away.

I finally stopped lurking and made an account just to ask you when your interview was? I've been waiting forever and I'm getting antsy!

Welcome! I applied September 12th, I think. At least, that's the date on my dashboard, so I think it's the date I applied, not the interview, but it could be the other way. It's been a long wait, but it wasn't as bad for me as last semester. I applied the second day, and got rejected on the last. That was hard.

Thanks! You applied a week or two after me, I think, so you might get in a little later. Hopefully it will come any time now! Be warned, though, you might arrive late at the park. The only start date I can see that they let me choose is February 20th. I'm going to call them tomorrow morning to see if I can get in earlier, but I'll take it if there's nothing else.
