Does Starring Rolls ever run out of cupcakes?

We changed our plans and are now going to be going to DHS on the LAST day of SWW (my hubby is a huge Star Wars geek) and I have GOT to get me one of those yummy looking cupcakes!
Are their cupcakes like TSM Fastpasses- first come first serve, and when they are gone they're gone? Or do they keep stocking them all day?

Yup they do run out and because they close so early (4pm) they do not restock them.

Just wanted to agree w/ PP. I hear that they stock in the AM for the day, and that's it, when they go, they are out. So get there early for the best selection. Cupcakes for breakfast, mmm-mmmm!:lmao:

The above posters are correct. They do not re-stock the cupcakes. We went in March around 2pm & the pickings were very slim - but thank God they still had 1 Butterfinger cupcake because I would have jumped behind the counter to find more had they been out!

They do run out. I was dying for a butterfinger cupcake last Sept after seeing all the pics of them on the board. I was so disappointed!! They were all gone for the day!!!

I've seen them run out of just about everything.

I'm sure they do run out but I've been there in the very late morning and was able to score 3 butterfinger cupcakes. They still had red velvets and another kind.
I loved eating a slice of those cupcakes every day of our stay (and once or twice for breakfast ;)

I just read the other posts. When I first went into SR, they didn't have any butterfinger cc in the case. I asked and they went in the back and brought out a full tray. I don't know how many trays they had back there.

I was thinking the same thing! I am also going to DHS the last day of my trip. I have a lunch reservation for '50s Prime Time, so there's no way we'll have room for a cupcake after that. I thought of picking one up on our way out of the park to eat back at the resort while waiting for the Magical Express bus. But since I heard they run out of cupcakes, that's not going to work. So the only solution? Cupcake for breakfast! :thumbsup2

They also close really early. I remember looking for eats around 3pm or so and they were closed. This was in November.

Edit: I just looked up their hours and they close at 4pm.

We were there in early February at about 3:30 and they still had cupcakes. Then again, that's the slower time of the year also. We got a red velvet cupcake to share. It was delicious!!!!!!!! Definitely a new favorite for sure. We also received an added surprise because a young woman was handing out Mickey sugar cookies (free) and we got one of these also! :cool1: It was also delicious!!!!!!!!!

Agggg...I am probably going to miss most of the good cupcakes then, we're checking in that day and my MIL is taking us to Beaches and Cream for the infamous Kitchen Sink. I estimate arrival at the park will be right as Starring Rolls is closing...:( I think there was another thread where you can find cupcakes outside DHS though...*goes searching*

Their sign said they were closing at *8* PM this past weekend. We walked by one day (Sat?) around 6 and they were still open -- I was shocked -- then when we went back on Tues and I noticed the sign said 8PM.

Guessing this is a recent change, but hopefully it means stuff will be in stock longer :)

I just wanted to echo what a previous poster said. If you don't see the kind of cupcake that you want in the case, ask if they have any in back. It seems like during our last few trips, they were slow to refill the case, but they always had more in the back.

I can't wait to have a cupcake for breakfast - they all look so yummy!!! Red Velvet would be my favorite then anything chocolate. I think I may even let my kids have them also for breakfast if they want them.
We will be on vacation, only way I would let them do that.

We tried them all last year right after lunch time....except the cheesecake/red velvet one. I'm going to head over there right after our H&V Breakfast this year and grab one of those ;)

Oh boy I will have to figure out how Im gonna get my cupcake.. I didnt want to eat it for breakfast but for a snack..Can you get them in a to go box? Then again I dont know how well it would hold up with me holding it in a box in the Sept heat! I guess I will have to take my chance and go late morning..It may just become my lunch! LOL

They didn't have to go boxes that fit them upright when I went. I had to squash them on their sides to put them in and then they didn't have a bag for me to take them out in- I went down to the candy store and got one. I went over there 2 days on a trip over the summer early in the day just to pick up cupcakes and 1 day they had abox to pack them in sideways the other day they didn't have any boxes and I had to carry them back to the hotel on a paper plate.

The cupcakes in the Beach Club Marketplace (the gift shop in the Beach Club resort) come in plastic boxes. I was thinking that I'd have to get a cupcake there on my first day, and save the box to take with me to Starring Rolls on the second day. The Starring Rolls cupcakes might be too big for the Beach Club Marketplace cupcake box, but I won't know until I try.

Which means I would have to eat the Beach Club Marketplace cupcake for research purposes.

(Now that I think of it, if you get a cupcake at the Boardwalk Bakery or at the new caramel store in Germany at Epcot, they put the cupcake in a cupcake box. So you could go to one of those places first as well.)
