I know Disney is getting rid of straws around the property. I was wondering if the Starbucks' located inside the parks are also getting rid of their straws? The company had mentioned getting rid of them eventually, but it probably won't be for at least another year and the ones all around me locally still have them. I was wondering if because they are inside the parks they will also be gone? How do you drink a Frappachino without one?

I’m guessing since their inside Disney they will follow suit. My guess is paper straws for the Frappuccino’s? I use the jumbo paper straws at home when I make milkshakes and they work great!

they indeed have paper straws. caught me off guard at first and bit it a little bit too hard.
I'm glad they have something, a frappachino would be hard to drink without something. Not a huge fan of the paper straws though they seem to fall apart easily when they've been in a drink awhile.

Was this in AK or do all the locations now use paper straws?

I was discussing this with my local barista this morning and she said Starbucks doesn’t plan to go completely straw-free until 2020. However, she does predict a price increase coming. The nitro sip lids cost more.

Yes, it was in Animal Kingdom. Dont know about other Starbucks

It's more likely that Starbucks is following their own plans rather than Disney's, and they're currently trialling paper and bioplastic straws in some locations, as well as rolling out the controversial 'adult sippy cup' lids.
