... have a single rider line? We're going for our second time in May and DH wants to check it out before DD rides it (she is exactly the height of the height requirement). She loves this kind of thrill ride and I think she'll be fine, but since DH and I have never been on it, he wants to be sure it's okay. I thought he could ride Single Rider, then we could pick up Fast Passes for all three of us and ride together.

Thanks! :goodvibes

As of January there is no single rider line.

You could say that Space Mountain is a smoother Matterhorn ride, but in the dark and with music.

HTH...

I did not see a single rider line. However, they do provide rider swaps for parents with an infant in tow who cannot ride it together. IE, we have a 5 and 2 year old. The 5 YO wits in line with Dad. Mom waits with 2 YO by the exit with a CARD obtained from the space mountain entrance reps. And when Dad gets off the ride having wited faifthfully the 30 minutes to hour plus ... the 5 year old stays by the car and Dad swaps the 2 YP woth Mom ... and Mom gets on Space Mountian without waiting in line. The 5 YO gets a back to back ride. This is really a kind accomidation for a family that has to split up because of the ages of their kids.

Disney has thought of so much to make a park visit great for everyone!

No, no single rider line. The rider switch pass would probably be the best bet. Either that or getting there first thing, getting FPs and sending your husband on it while the line is short first thing in the morning to check it out.

If your husband goes right when the park opens the line will probably only be 5-10 minutes. He can ride it you can get fast passes and then when he comes out and says it's okay the whole family can ride it together.

I don't see how the child swap could work since your husband wants to ride it before your 5 year old does just to be sure. The child swap is more if you had a baby and the 5 year old and then your five year old could ride it but both mom and dad.

It seems like your husband wants to rides it first to make sure it's fine and then the five year old would ride it. I don't see how the child swap would work considering there is no child to swap but since others are mentioning it they might know something I don't.

Pull the fastpasses first, Dad goes first, everyone goes with FP if Dad gives his blessing. It is a rollercoaster in the dark, music is loud though.

A child doesn't have to ride in a child swap. It's made for adults to enjoy rides without the kids, as well as split families who have different-age kids.

The Dad could ride using child swap while the Mom and child waits. If he thinks it's too rough, then Mom could ride on her own while Dad and child waits. Child swap is in place so that both parents can go (separately) on rides with restrictions.
