Does RSR ever go down for long refurbs?

More people seem to be speculating lately on what rides may or may not be going down for refurbs this fall, and I'm wondering - has Radiator Springs Racers ever gone down for an actual refurb, as opposed to just being down for a few hours during the day? We're going the second week in September, and in planning these dates, I fully expect to miss some rides, even some big ones, and that's a sacrifice I am willing to make. But RSR would be the only ride that I would change my dates if it went down for a scheduled refurb. I haven't heard of that happening, but then I'm new to the boards, and I would assume that it has to go down at some point for refurb, as all rides do.

The ride has just has its 2 year anniversary, so it's too earlier to know when there will be a rehab and how long it will last. But you're right, they have to take it down at some point. Odds are it won't happen between Memorial and Labor days, but other than that, I don't think Disney is going to tip their hat on this one.

As SMD/I] said, RSR hasn't gone down for a major rehab yet. It has crossed my mind that at some point it is going to have to go down, but that would be a major loss to DCA. I also doubt it'll go down in the summer or during the holidays, but outside of those dates anything seems possible. I wouldn't be surprised if does go down for a bit next year (2015), but I haven't heard anything about a potential rehab.
