Does recent purchase help with ressies?

We just added on at BCV today!! Our add-on is enough points for a 2 bdrm for a week. We're going in September using our BWV points and getting an extra room by borrowing from next year. In addition to the 13 folks already going, 4 more have decided they could come if we can get the rooms (I love it when my family can join us!!). I've been on a waitlist for a 2 bedroom for about a week now. Our guide seemed to think that perhaps if I told MS that we had just purchased, I might be able to get that 2 bedroom reservation. Anyone have any experience with this?

reservations are first come first served. The only benefit you have is the 11 month priority booking window for your home resort points.

Does it make any difference that as points are purchased, they move rooms from "cash" to DVC?

Sometimes guides can work some "magic" (getting rooms moved from cash inventory to points). It doesn't hurt to ask.
