does "quiet" Disney dining actually exist?

Quiet restaurants: Citricos, Grand Floridian Cafe, Olivia's, Yacht Club Galley.
I was going to mention Olivia's---I've never seen it full, so it is relatively peaceful, the food is pretty good given the aspirations, and it is not over-the-top Disney. But, it is extremely casual, so perhaps not what you are looking for.

We ate dinner at almost all of Disney's Signature Restaurants in February and I didn't find any of them to be very noisy (and this is something that bothers me about most L.A. restaurants).

The secret is to make early reservations. Almost all of ours were 5:30ish, or right when the restaurant opened, before the crowds showed up. We had a lovely quiet meal at California Grill, even! This also kept us from feeling rushed at most places (Le Cellier excepted) and from having to wait a long time to be seated.

I disagree, especially if by "relatively quiet", one means in comparison to most WDW restaurants.

Yep, this is definitely what I meant. I know Disney restaurants can't really be compared to others. :) I guess I don't really care about actual QUIET...I was thinking about this more for the grandparents.

Now I'm starting to think that loud could be better...less chance for awkwardness between the new in-laws. :rotfl:

The DF's family is just not really into the whole Disney thing...so I was trying to think of a place a little "less Disney," but really...they love me and know that I love Disney, so I'm sure they would be ok with whatever we choose.
