Does POR sleep 5

I was told there is a trundle bed has anyone ever used this?

I've never used it but they are in Alligator Bayou. I just read in the All Ears newsletter that there is no longer a charge for this.

I have never used it, but most of the rooms now have them and they do not charge extra for them.

ok i get it now i thought that little bench in the pic on the disney site was the bed. this looks a lot more comfy lol. so i guess 5 is a definate now. we have only stayed at deluxes befor(not to sound snobby) i was just curious if por is a real step down it looks really nice in the pics. we are going for a baseball tournament and have a choice of por or all star sports.

Of course, the Disney website still shows a charge for the trundle bed. I guess the Disney website is NOT the place to go for the latest info....

It also said if you are already booked and have been charged for the trundle bed the charge will be removed.

We have stayed at Port and used the trundle. It is smaller than the bed, my dd was 5 at the time and it was okay for her. The only thing is that it is right by the door, and she was scared to be on the floor where she couldn't see us. We have stayed at almost all the resorts and my kids like this one as well as any other. Any time there is 5 in a room it is crowed, but we made it work. Hope this helps.

is there anywhere else in the room to move it to or is it actually attached to the bed? i dont think my ds would be to happy right next to the door where he couldnt see us

My 5yo loved the bed--both the bed itself and the fact that it was right next to my bed.

We stayed at the POR a while back. My kids were 12 &15 at the time and took turns sleeping on the trundle. They were not happy with sleeping by the door also, so with a little effort we were able to get the trundle in between the 2 beds.
They did find the bed to be smaller then a twin, and uncomfortable for more then a night or two.

i never thought to move the trundle, just assumed it was hooked to the bed. if your ds is small, there should be no trouble. we did need to ask for another blanket, the trundle only had a sheet. we would do it again, anything to get another Disney vacation.

that is what i was looking for.i feel better knowing that we can if we want move it thanks

The trundle is basically just a little table on four wheels with a 4" or 5" mattress on top. If you pull it out from under the bed, you should be able to put it anywhere in the room.

I think the mattress comes right off the slider. That might be the easiest thing to do.
