We'll be at Epcot 10/11, mainly for TT, MS, HISTA and dinner at the Garden Grill. My family is unfortunately not interested in the World Showcase. I really want to see Illuminations also, but I have some time to kill between Future World (listed as closing at 7:00), and Illuminations at 9:00. Someone said (thanks, Holcomb) that some rides in Future World stay open later. Does anyone know the details?
TIA!

Also, where is a good place to sit to view Illuminations?

I know for sure in May this year Spaceship Earth and Test Track were open until World Showcase closed at 9 because these are the ones we did at night. There may have been one or two more open late, hopefully someone can help you with that. I would assume Mission:Space could now be added to the list, as well.

According to themeparks.com the following FW attractions are open until WS closes:

Spaceship Earth, Test Track, Honey I Shrunk the Audience, Electric Umbrella, and Mouse Gear will remain open until park closing.

actually everything except MS TT and HISTA closes at 6pm the others closed at 9pm . When the parks are busier they may be open until 7pm . We found this out last week when we hopped from MK at 5:00 due to the early closing on 9/5 for night of joy and were hoping to get the kids into living seas and to see figment but they just closed when we got there. We ended up eating at the coral reef(very nice meal w/awesome view of the fish) and catching Illuminations after dinner.
