Does park hopping really wipe you out?

Generally, we pick a park and stay all day. However, with our AP, if the park we are in gets really crowded, we will jump to one that looks like its less crowded based on wait times.
If one park closes early, we will hop to another to see the evening show as well.
Like everything else, breaks are important.

I’ve always park hopped, but question my reasoning behind it. I don’t think I’ve gotten into much depth in the park and feel like I waste a lot of my day on transportation.
