Does Pal Mickey???

Hi Guys!

Please forgive me if this has already been asked a zillion times but I just had to know and who else could possibly know more than those of you right here on the DIS!!!

We purchased Pal Mickey during our January trip and we are returning in June so my question is will Mickey automatically "update" himself with new info when we enter one of the four Parks or do we have to take him some place for that??

I *think* you just have to point his nose outwards when walking through the gates & he will update himself.

I also think he is supposed to but have heard if he doesn't , a CM whereever he is sold can update him and it only takes a minute.

When you enter park have his shiny little nose pointed forward and he will update his information

How much does Pal Mickey cost. I thought about renting one when we go in December, but I'm afraid that after DD plays with him for a few days that she will have a fit if I try to return him.

Also, Is it worth it. Is Pal Mickey really helpful, or is he just something else to keep up with?
