We have a split stay in Dec/Jan and will be getting the basic dining plan for the first part of our trip and thinking about quick service for the second part. Can someone please tell us if there is the requirement that one counter service must be used at breakfast? We usually just have a bowl of cereal at our resort and prefer to eat lunch around 11:30 and then dinner later on. If they make you use one for breakfast then it wouldn't be worth it for us because we would only have one more counter service left to last until the end of the day. We would still need to buy another meal? Am I totally wrong about how this counter service plan works?

(while usually it relates to WDW guest email that has actual direct contact to either guest relations CMs or higher ups, it's probably good practice in general), but I can see how it can be confusing (even to their own people apparently!)
