Does nudity=porn? I was called a pervert!

well I have a sketch of a completely nude little boy in my guest bath. It also has a duck in it and the title is "The Duck goes after the worm" You can gues what worm he is chasing. I lvoe it and nobody ever thinks less of me because of it.

Well call me a prude I guess! While I didn't consider them "porn" I thought they were not appropriate for children's eyes. I would not want my kids to see them but what were you supposed to do take them down before he went potty? I think he overeacted. It's your bathroom and you can put whatever you want in it. I personally thought it was tasteless but thats your peroggative (spelling?). From what the child probably told his father I can kinda understand his reaction to some degree. that is until he actually saw the pics himself.

:thumbsup2 I don't think they are "porn" but still wouldn't want my kids looking at them. The dad was definitely overreacting.

I will admit to having a lot of hangups with naked human bodies. I would personally be very uncomfortable with myself or my children seeing the crane or the lawn mower, but some of his stuff was really nice. Even if I don't like it, unless you had simulated sex acts on the walls, I wouldn't have a problem with it. If you did have true porn on your walls, you would not be watching my child. They asked you to watch their son, they should have been bringing you brownies!

I did like hte ones with the pregnant bellies, particular the stork. I may just have to get a print of that one. If it's covered by a bikini I'm not fond of it, but the ones that were just stomachs were neat.

The artist is probably wondering why all the increased traffic on his site.:rotfl2:

You should write the artist with the story, and give send the neighboor's name and address,.

perhaps the artist could contact him and explain what art is?

It might be a stretch to call his work porn.

It's as far a stretch calling it art, if you ask me. IMHO, it's "art" just as Elvis on velvet is "art."

I think the artwork is interesting, especially the hedge trimmer one :lmao:

I think they're awesome and I wouldn't have a problem with anyone of any age seeing them. It's just a human body; there's nothing sexual about them.

Well, I think he was rude and obnoxious. I also think that after the events of the day he may have needed an outlet and unfortunately found it with you. I think the child may have overreacted to what he saw and that caused the father to overreact. Chances are that he doesn't really consider nudity to be porn, but didn't have the grace to admit that he overreacted.

I don't think the artwork is porn... I think the human body is a beautiful, God-created work of art. I googled your artist and my personal opinion is that his stuff is creepy and strange. But I don't think it's porn.

LOL....I think the artist should send him a signed print. :lmao: HI GP!

I have been following this thread and thot I would chime in.:goodvibes I looked at the artist's site and didnt find anything that I would consider to be porn. A little too risque for my home (with a 5 yr old in residence) but nothing I would get offended over in someone else's house. Some of them were actually quite funny and others very nicely composed. They all were a very clever concept.

I have to agree with others in that "how would a 4 year old know what they actually were?" My DD5 saw them when I had them up and was more interested in the little animals and ppl then anything else and never even questioned what they were. (not that I had them up very long with her in the room, but still)

OP...I think you should give him a lovely framed gift for XMAS :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

All I have to say is this:

Stay far, far away from overzealous parents. They love to label anyone who looks at their child sideways. It is not worth the hassle and grief that can come out of one innocent statement if they were to get the police involved.
:sad2:
