Does National Place a Hold (in addition to the rental) on CC?

They charge you at the end of your rental, they place a hold for the amount of the rental only. Just a FYI, Alamo charges you at the beginning of the rental for the amount of the rental only.

A lot of rental car companies will put a certain amount on hold ($250 is most common) then charge the amount of the rental at the end. Alamo I know charges only what the rental is. I've rented from our local Alamo for one day before and it was like $25 and that was all they held on my credit card. If you have questions, you can always call them.
