We have PS reservations at Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary when we go down in July and I was wondering if the monorail actually STOPS in the resort if we caught it at MK and would it take us back to MK afterward.....Thanks for your help!

Yes. You need to take the RESORT monorail and it will stop in the Contemporary :)

Have a great time :)

You mean at MK? There's a specific monorail AT Magic Kingdom for "resorts"?

Yes there are 2 monorail loops for that area (the 3rd goes to EPCOT).

One loop only goes from the TTC to the MK & the other goes to all 3 resorts, the MK & the TTC.

It says resort monorail (or something like that on it) & it is the loop that is closest to the water/Seven Seas lagoon so you have to go under the track to walk up the ramp.

Yes, there is a "resort" monorail and another monorail that takes you over to EPCOT. The resort monorail leaves MK and goes to Contemporary, then to the Poloynesian Resort then to the Grand Floridian and then back to MK. I can't remember if it stops at the TTC between Contemporary and the Poly....

By the way, it is a fairly short walk from MK to the Contemporary just in case you were interested.....but I understand if all that walking around the parks makes you not want to take one more step above what is necessary! :earboy2:

Yes, there are two monorail loops around Seven Seas Lagoon, one inside of the other.

One monorail moves in one direction and is the Express Monorail. This monorail only stops at Magic Kingdom and the Ticket and Transportation Center.

The other monorail moves in the other direction and stops at Magic Kingdom, Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Ticket and Transportation Center, and Contemporary.

I have found that it is quicker and easier to walk to the Contemporary from MK, unless, of course, you just want to ride the monorail. It is a very easy walk over there, about 5 minutes. If you do opt for the monrail, the entrance to the monorail is clearly marked above each entrance to the ramp and one says "RESORT MONORAIL". You can't miss it.

Thanks for your help! We HAVE to take the monorail....my nephew told me yesterday that that's what he's looking forward to the most....(boy, is he in for some surprises huh?) Thanks again!!
