Does MNSSHP sell out?

We are going to be in Disney from Oct 10 - 15th. There are 2 nights of MNSSHP (12th & 14th) while we are there. We are hoping to go on the 12th.

Here's my question...my dad is 90% sure he's going with us. He has a plane ticket, but his health could make him back out at the last minute.

I'm ready to buy the advance tickets for MNSSHP...so should I buy him one, or should I play it safe & not get him one & run the risk of them selling out? I'd hate for him to be in Disney with us & not be able to go.

If I do buy him an advance ticket, and he doesn't go, can we re-sell it down there, or give it away? I'm not looking to make a profit, I'd just hate to have an extra ticket if it was sold out & someone else could use it.

Any help is much appreciated!

I'm no expert on Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party, but from my understanding, it can sell out. BUT, it generally only does sellout closer to halloween.

I'd wait for more expert advice, but my advice is to just wait on buying his ticket. :)

Last year Halloween night (Friday) and the night before (Thursday) sold out, I believe they were the only ones. That wasn't until about September. October 12 is a Tuesday, I think you would be safe waiting, it will probably not sellout. We went on the first Sunday last year and it was nowhere near soldout.

We havent been to MNSSHP but have been to MVMCP which is along the same lines. My advice is wait til you get to WDW, see how the weather looks for those 2 nights, and buy your tickets the day before you go. This way you still get the discounted rate and have a better chance of going on a clear night. Since neither night is a Fri., you shouldnt have any problem. We are going to be there the 13th-23rd and will wait to buy when we know what night looks most promising(other than a Fri.)

Usually only Halloween sells out. However, other nights still can sell out. I think it's a safe bet that the Fri 10/29 might sell out close to Halloween this year. Theres always a slight chance that those parties near Columbus Day weekend could sell out. But it's probably the same chance as any other party day.

Of course the only way to 100% go is to buy the tickets in advance. Last year we bought ours in May. We didn't know until August that we could for sure go. My plan was to give them to friends we have in the Tampa area. Figuring either they could use them or know someone who could.

Thank you for all of the responses!
