I'm trying to decide if I should take my own stroller (we're flying) or just rent one at the park. Anyone know if MK's strollers have baskets underneath?

thanks!

Nope.

But they do have a net "bag" type of arrangement hanging from the handlebars. The strollers are very low to the ground. Very stable, but no way to fit something underneath.

Having been to disney multiple times, and on both coasts, with all different ages (my kids are currently 17, 16, 11, 7) I would say hauling a personal stoller is a waste of effort and space. We have all gift shop items held at the front or sent to the resort anyway so we never carry things with us. Also the train doesn't take strollers on etc.

When my sister went with us to DL in 98 we let her use our stroller (large laying, adjustable, 4-wheel steer type). It was like having a gypsy along. She piled so much stuff on there, the kids couldn't even sit on it ;)

We have found the rental strollers to be more convenient and much less hassle. We are a "minimalist" type of crew. Even when we went with an 18 mo old, our diaper bag was only 12 inches long and about 8 inches diameter. My wife is the "Pack Light" patrol. Before we take a bag on vacation, she goes through it and removes stuff.

If you plan on bringing anything into the park. . . ie. a diaper bag, backpack, drinks, snacks, jackets. . .,I would suggest bringing your own stroller. The net on the back of the strollers don't hold very much.

We have an almost 4-y-o DD and will most definitely bring our own for her. It's more difficult folding and unfolding it for the busses, but more convenient for carrying things around in the parks. And keep in mind you can gate-check the stroller at the airport and use it to carry some extra carry-on bags through the airport with you. I find the conveniences of having your own outweigh the inconveniences of transporting it.

I would definitly bring your own stroller. Park strollers don't recline and don't hold anything. Keep in mind if you have alot of walking to do at your resort it nice to have a stroller for tired little legs. We have a 4 year old and a 1 year old and we bring 2 strollers with us. I would not do it any other way.

Another vote for renting....

I find it much more convenient to just rent one when I need one. We carry everything in a backpack or split into fanny packs. I don't need to bring a million things that we never use into the parks.

The rentals have enough room for a couple of drinks, maps, a souvenier or two.

Of course, if you're traveling with a really little person, you might want to have your own if you're dealing with naps and bottles. But past that, I'll always be a rental fan.
