Does longer park hours indicate larger crowds?

I was just wondering if longer park hours indicates they are expecting larger crowds?

We are trying to avoid "busy" days so chose parks with non-extended hours for April 10, 11, 14, 15, and 16 to do our FP+.

I don't think that's necessarily accurate. With the park being open longer I think it spreads the crowds out. The earlier the rope drop the less people will wake up for it and the later the close the less people will stay till 12-1 (MK as the example) Now, if it's an EMH day then it definitely will be more crowded.

It typically indicates the potential for higher turnstile attendance, but that does not always result in longer lines for rides. When you spread out the larger attendance over longer hours, you may or may not see an impact on park crowding. But in general, Disney does not incur the additional overhead of staffing and utilities unless it thinks it needs to. See the "More cuts coming" thread for a discussion of how Disney is trying to find ways to reduce overhead. Extending park hours is not done without a good reason.

Hi Alice, I'd recommend you check out easywdw for advice on least busy parks. We generally avoid parks with AM EMH
