Hey everyone we live in NY and usually fly out of laguardia but due to school and work schedule we might be trying jet blue since they offer a late night flight out of JFK- So what does everyone think of this airline? Do they offer curbside check in?
Also, we do have someone disabled going with us so do they give priority seating to the disabled like other airlines?
Also, I tried to look what seats were available for the flight we needed but it doesnt show like other airlines- when do you get to pick your seat or see what seats are available?

THANKS for your help :goodvibes

Hi I live in NY too- And after our last flight, out of JFK, Jet Blue is the only way to go.
With kids its great- their own TV. A drink a snack, a couple of shows and you are there. I really enjoyed the TV too!
WIth kids I would stick with JetBlue. I am sorry I dont know about curbside, I know we checked ours inside.

I see they just released special fares down to Orlando again.....

Yes I always check my MIL in at the curb. Great wonderful service! You will NOT be disappointed.

As for mobility-impaired passengers, JetBlue does pretty well. My DS (now 7) is wheelchair bound and cannot walk at all. We rolled his chair up to the gate well ahead of regular boarding, carried him to his seat, strapped him in and settled the rest of our party into seats. They then took the wheelchair and stowed it below (Gate Checked). Like most airlines, JetBlue sets aside the front few rows for passengers with particular needs like those with mobility impairments, unaccompanied children, etc.

But I should emphasize to you: it is important to call the airline well ahead of time and alert them to your needs. Usually they will pull your reservation and move your seats up to the blocked rows up front. If you do not let them know ahead of time, it is possible that they may not be able to accomodate you, so give them a heads-up.

We enjoyed flying JetBlue. Their curbside check-in works great! Also, word is that they are now participating in Disney's Magical Express, so you can do the whole resort check-in business.
Have a great trip!

We LOVE Jetblue and have always had good experiences with them.

Yes, there is curbside check-in at JFK.

When you book your flight online, you do not see the seats until AFTER you pay for your flight. I don't like this, so I call JETBLUE directly and book my flight on the phone......this way I can see if there are seats together for my family before I book it.

Good Luck.

guys you are the best= thanks so much for the heads up. Yes we will defiantly let them know ahead of time since my brother is not able to walk at all. Also, will they charge you more if you book over the phone- I dont like not knowing where we will be seated. Uhh you guys are so good and helpful :goodvibes

I've booked over the phone with them and have not been charged extra. I had a partial voucher to use and you can only use those over the phone and it was the same price as the internet.

I believe JETBLUE used to have a policy of charging $5.00 extra for each ticket when you booked online, BUT, they no longer have this policy. The last three times I booked over the phone I was NOT charged extra.
