Does it slow you up putting in credit card info when making ressies???

I always make my ressies the first thing in the am at 180 days out. Now that you have to guarantee some restaurants with a credit card, does it delay doing the reservations? I make my reservations on line. Is it easy to figure out, I don't want any surprises the morning I can make my reservations. Thanks

You can do the reservations online at the same time as always (6:00 EST; remember to adjust accordingly to your time zone if you live outside the EST time zone). It's very easy to figure out. A screen will pop up requesting your credit card information only for the restaurants that require it. Just be sure to have your credit card out and ready so you don't lose time having to get it. Yes, putting in the credit card information slows the process a bit because you have to enter the credit card information (type, date of expiration, number) and your address. I was afraid it would slow me down and I might not get all my reservations at the times I wanted but it didn't affect anything--got all my reservations and the times I wanted. Just remember, everyone else is having to put in his/her credit card information too so we're all slowed down and the playing field is leveled. No worries, it will be easy and not a problem at all.

At 180 days, a few seconds isn't going to matter. Things just don't book up that quickly unless you're trying for something like the chef's table at Viki & Al's, or if you want exactly 7:00 at Le Cellier on New Year's Eve.

The one bit of advice/warning I can give is if you have multiple reservations that will require the CC guarantee, you'll need to enter your information for each one if you are doing them online. If you call, instead, at 7:00 (EST) you'll only have to give it to the CM once...or so I was told when I called to make one reservation that I couldn't make online.

I made my ADR's on line about two weeks ago and had to give my credit card info for a couple of them. All you really need to key in is name, address, phone number and credit card number. It really won't slow you down too much ... and if you are doing the 180 + 10 it will not stop you from getting any reservation that you want. Good luck!
